Rep. JoAnne Stehr was elected to her first term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives in November 2022. She is the first woman representative from Schuylkill County and in the 107th District.

Her priorities include restoring our economy; energizing small business; tax reform; agriculture; veterans; health; seniors; legislative term limits; and protecting our children, gun rights, freedom and preserving our core American conservative values. Additionally, she was appointed to serve on the following House committees for the 2023-24 Legislative Session: Aging and Older Adult Services, Health and Liquor Control.

In the kettle of the beautiful Mahantongo Valley, resides the family farm Stehr grew up in, where she was infused with the American spirit. The values she learned as a young child on the farm have remained with her – hard work, thrift, perseverance, faith, integrity and caring for her neighbors.

A lifelong resident of Schuylkill County, Stehr graduated from Tri-Valley High School. Upon graduation, she worked full-time, while attending night school at the Schuylkill Area Vocational Technical School, where she became a licensed practicing nurse. Stehr has spent 30 years as a home health care and hospice nurse and has worked as a client relationship executive for Home Health Services.

Stehr is committed to her community through volunteer work and organization involvement. She volunteers frequently at her local food pantry and serves as chair of the Hegins Zoning and Planning Committee.

She is the proud mother of two sons, Eli and Beau.

Stehr is looking forward to getting to work for the constituents of the 107th District in Northumberland and Schuylkill counties.
