HARRISBURG – Rep. JoAnne Stehr (R-Northumberland/Schuylkill) was appointed by Republican Leader Bryan Cutler (R-Lancaster) as Republican Subcommittee Chair on Programs and Benefits under the House Aging and Older Adult Services Committee for the remainder of the 2023-24 Legislative Session of the General Assembly.
"I am honored to accept this position and am committed to working alongside my colleagues to create meaningful solutions that enhance the quality of life for our senior citizens,” Stehr said.
Pennsylvania offers a variety of programs and services to support the state’s senior citizen population. Many of those programs are funded through the Pennsylvania Lottery, including support for senior centers, low-cost prescription drugs, free and reduced transit, property tax/rent rebates and long-term living services.
In addition to her position on the Aging Committee, Stehr also serves on the House Health and Liquor Control committees.
