HARRISBURG – Rep. Joanne Stehr (R-Northumberland/Schuylkill) is pleased to announce that $379,000 in grant funding has been awarded to the Ralpho Township Library in Northumberland County through the Multi-Purpose Community Facilities Program. This funding will be used to create a multi-purpose community space within the library, enhancing its ability to serve residents of the 107th District by providing a versatile venue for community events, programs and activities.
“The Ralpho Township Library is an essential part of our community,” said Stehr. “This new multi-purpose space will increase its value by offering a place for residents to gather, learn and connect. This project will strengthen our community and improve access to important resources.”
This grant funding will enable the library to expand its services and develop a flexible space that can accommodate a variety of community needs, further solidifying the library's role as a central hub in Ralpho Township and the surrounding areas.
The grant program offers $45 million in competitive grants to community anchor institutions and units of local government for community projects to construct, acquire or improve facilities that are, or will be open to the public and will directly enable work, education and health monitoring at the respective facility.
